NBA insiders and news writers often propose trade deals between teams. There is a trade proposal making headlines about the Los Angeles Clippers and Cleveland Cavaliers trading Paul George.
The Paul George Trade Deal
- Cleveland Cavaliers will receive Jarrett Allen, Isaac Okoro, and Caris LeVert.
- In exchange, the Los Angeles Clippers will receive Paul George.
A popular NBA news writer, Ari Schwartz from HoopsHabit has proposed a blockbuster trade deal between the Los Angeles Lakers and Cleveland Cavaliers.
Schwartz wrote:
“The Cavs had an amazing regular season, winning 51 games, but ultimately fell very short in the playoffs, losing in five games in a first-round series against the Knicks.”
Ari further added:
“With only two years guaranteed on Donovan Mitchell’s contract, Cleveland has to make a big move if they want to keep their newly acquired star around long-term.
“There may be no better way to do that than adding a proven veteran like Paul George. George is entering his 14th season but is still performing at an all-star level, with averages of 23 points, six rebounds, and five assists per game. He would fill a huge need at the small forward position, not to mention veteran leadership for an extremely young team.”
Paul George Career and Stats
Paul has had a great career while playing for the LA Clippers. He has been an 8 times NBA All-Star. Moreover, he could be a 9-time All-Star, but he missed the last 9 matches of the regular NBA Season due to his knee injury against the Phoenix Suns.
Paul has averaged around 23.8 points with 6.1 rebounds and 5.1 assists in each game while playing for the Clippers in the last NBA Season. George shot a total of 45.7% of the shots from the floor, 37.1% of the shots from beyond the arc, and 87.1% of the shots from the free throw line.
