The Philadelphia Sixers’ forward Tobias Harris might be on the bucket list of the Boston Celtics who are looking for a player to help in defense and space the floor as well. The urgency of the trade is because the contract that the Dallas Mavericks have given to Grant Williams can’t be outbid or matched by the Celtics.
The Sixers can try to get somebody else in his place if they fail to do anything about Grant Williams, and Tobias Harris looks like a good choice. Here is all the information you need about the trade between the Sixers and the Celtics!
What would the Celtics offer for Tobias Harris?
The Celtics are expected to send their guard Malcolm Brogdon, their forward Al Horford, and another guard Payton Pritchard in exchange for the Sixers’ forward Tobias Harris. The Sixers have a lot to worry about and, most of all, the departure of James Harden. It may look like they are already trying to do whatever they can to fill the void he is going to leave.
Harden’s departure would be painful and non-repairable for a while; the Sixers may do this deal to find their next superstar.
Tobias Harris calls out Sixers fans
“Casual Sixers fans, they'll trade me for a Crumbl Cookie…At the end of the day they have to realize you’re not getting a 6’9 forward who can shoot damn near 40% from 3, guard the other team’s best player, shoot, post-up, drive…”

Why would the Philadelphia Sixers like to give up on Tobias Harris?
Harden is the reason for most of the things which are being done by the Sixers right now. Considering Brogdon as a replacement for Harden is absurd, and we hope that the Sixers aren’t thinking that. If Harden decides to stay, Brogdon would be a perfect backup for him.
Joel Embiid probably tired himself out last season, and the Sixers would like to have a backup for him as well, and Horford looks like a decent player for that.
It’s completely fine for the Sixers to be patient on finding a Tobias Harris trade
But if we get to the end of the off-season and there is no move it’s a huge mistake. Especially given the value of an expiring deal under the new CBA there is a market for Tobi

Why would the Boston Celtics like to sign Tobias Harris?
Celtics are using their fodder to sign a great player, they will benefit a lot from this deal. Tobias Harris is much more independent when it comes to taking shots or creating chances, unlike Williams. Apart from his health, Brogdon is a terrific player, and letting him go means looking for a replacement for him as well.
This deal may happen soon considering both the teams are happy doing it, but when more players are involved, teams like to think it over. We’ll be back with updates if the deal progresses.
