The 29-year-old power forward Pascal Siakam is in talks with the Golden State Warriors for a trade from the Toronto Raptors. Both teams would like to make this deal happen after their recent blunders in the market. Siakam would be a good addition to the Warriors, and even though the Raptors might not get what they feel they deserve in exchange for their star, they would still like to give it a shot.
Pascal Siakam to the Warriors might happen very soon, and here’s all the information about the trade!
Why would the Warriors like to sign Pascal Siakam?
The Warriors have suffered enough this offseason, Mike Dunleavy took the position of general manager after Bob Myers resigned. Under Bob, the Warriors earned the title four times and got very close to it in other seasons as well. The first trade of Mike in which he signed Chris Paul was questionable.
Pascal Siakam is not interested in signing a contract extension with any team that trades for him, per @TheSteinLine

They spilled the remaining cash along with Patrick Baldwin and Ryan Rollins for Chris Paul. Donte DiVincenzo moved to the Knicks for free. Even though Draymond was re-signed and Dario Saric and Cory Joseph were signed to increase the squad depth, the Warriors are not done yet. Bleacher Reports’ Zach Buckley has claimed that the Warriors might sign the Raptors’ Pascal Siakam.
Why are the Raptors parting ways with Pascal Siakam?
This is a baffling move from the Raptors; their head coach has been fired, VanVleet left, and the only move they have made is extending Jakob Poeltl. In exchange for Siakam, they would get Jonathan Kuminga, Moses Moody, Chris Paul, and a 2030 first-round pick, it might not look very tempting, but the Raptors would like to do it in their current scenario.
The Raptors would like to take whatever is being offered for Siakam and build the team around those by giving them more playtime.

There is no doubt that Siakam would do wonders with the Warriors, just like he did with the Raptors. He would be a brilliant upgrade to the team and would help Curry a lot. The deal might be signed very soon, looking at the positives for both teams alone. We’ll keep you updated.
