The Orlando Magic have been waiting for Jales Suggs to develop his skills for a long time. Jalen has evolved well over the period, but his inability to shoot consistently in the game has been a big issue for the Magic.
Since Jalen has not been able to shoot consistently in all matches, the Magic is now prioritizing other young players over him. This could be enough reason for the Orlando Magic to trade him to any other team.
While the Magic is considering trading Jales to other teams, Utah Jazz seems interested in the young guard and would like to add him to their roster.

The Jalen Suggs Trade Proposal
- The Orland Magic will receive the forward center Kelly Olynyk and the 2025 First-Round Draft Pick (Cleveland Cavaliers via Utah Jazz).
- In return, the Utah Jazz will receive the guard Jalen Suggs along with the forward player Chuma Okeke.
While Jalen Suggs is trying his best to develop his shooting skills, there have been many players in the past who never developed. This could be the reason why the Magic is considering trading him.
How Trading Suggs Will Benefit the Magic?
The Magic are considering trading Suggs as they have recently acquired another guard who plays well in defense and passing, Anthony Black. However, even Anthony has issues with his shooting skills.
But maybe the Magic see potential in Black, as he has not got a chance to play in the NBA, while Jalen has 2 years of experience playing in the league.
Moreover, the Magic are getting good returns by trading Suggs, as Olynyk can assist the team in creating space on the floor, which is much needed.
On top of two good players, the Orlando Magic will also get a valuable draft pick, making it an ideal deal for them.
Why does the Utah Jazz Want this Trade Deal?
The Utah Jazz want this trade because they already have good players on the front court, so they need players to improve their back part of the court.
If Jalen Suggs improves well in the future, the trade deal would be a big win for the Jazz. But even if he doesn’t improve, he can offer good value to the team.
