Golden State Warriors had no choice other than signing D’Angelo Russel as temporary Kevin Durant replacement. NBA free agency kind of swapped the two players between Warriors and the Nets. Even though Russel is a great addition to the Warriors, their long term goal is to trade him to some other team.

In the last season, Russel had an average of 21.1 points, 7.0 assists, and 3.9 rebounds per game. But the problem is the playing style of Russel is kind of similar to other players in Warriors and he doesn’t fit in there. It is the reason why the Warriors could trade D’Angelo Russel to the teams like Lakers, Timberwolves, and Magic soon.
Los Angeles Lakers
Los Angeles Lakers are looking strong for the NBA 2020 title and have LeBron James and Anthony Davis as their leading duo. There are chances that they might even win the next finals, but there is no future after that. James is getting older and might retire, Davis will become a free agent. Even though it looks like a long shot, the Warriors could offer D’Angelo Russel back to the Lakers. Russel is just 23 years old and have previously played for Lakers, a trade deal will make a lot of sense.

D'Angelo Russell put up career-highs in nearly every stat category and made a strong case for Most Improved Player. He is #20 on the #NBAFantasy Top 50!

Minnesota Timberwolves
Minnesota Timberwolves were very close to sign D’Angelo Russel before the Warriors deal happened. The Wolves had Karl-Anthony Towns and Andrew Wiggins as their leading duo, but they needed Russel in the form of a third point guard. If the Warriors sends Russel to the Wolves, they can get Robert Covington in exchange. Covington can be a great defender, shoots 36 percent in the three points range and can be a wing stopper to replace Andre Iguodala.
D'Angelo Russell is the youngest player in NBA history to record a season with more than 200 3-PT made and 500 assists.

Orlando Magic
Orlando Magic is such a team who despite not having any big names plays good and even made it to the playoffs in the last NBA season. Aaron Gordon is doing great in the Magic team but he doesn’t kind of fit in the team anymore after the free agency deals. Warriors are also suffering from the same problem and exchanging Russel with Gordon can solve the problem of both the teams. Orlando needs a point guard like D’Angelo Russel and Warriors can use a small forward in the form of Aaron Gordon.
