Ncuti Gatwa was born on October 15, 1992, in Rwanda during a tumultuous Civil War. To ensure a safer future, Ncuti’s parents made the difficult decision to relocate to Britain. Had he stayed in Rwanda, Ncuti would have faced unimaginable trauma.
Gatwa and his family made their home in Scotland, residing in the city of Edinburgh. Prior to relocating to Dunfermline, they spent some time living in Edinburgh, where Gatwa attended Boroughmuir High School.
