The American crime drama Mindhunter dropped on Netflix on October 13, 2017. Although the show was renewed for season 2 in November 2017, just a month after its release, there have been no updates from Netflix since then.
It’s been a year and a half since fans have been waiting for any news on the next installment.

Mindhunter plot is based on a book
The Netflix original is based on the book Mindhunter: Inside the FBI Elite Serial Crime Unit. The book was penned down by John E Douglas and Mark Olshaker. The show was then produced by Penhall, David Fincher, Charlize Theron, and many others.
Mindhunter Season 2: What is in stores for the fans
In 2017, David Fincher was interviewed by Billboard where he released several details about what fans can expect from Mindhunter Season 2. He said that the second season will cover a murderous spree in Atlanta from 1979-81.
The serial killings involved 28 children, all African American teenagers, and adults. Wayne Williams, a native of the Georgian capital, was tried and convicted for two of these murders.
Groff, Torv, and McCallany will be returning in Mindhunter Season 2, but it is unsure whether Britton, who played Edward Kemper will return too.
Although filming already started in May last year, there has been no official release date announcement by Netflix. Speculations suggest that Mindhunter may be released in the first half of this year.
