Santa Clarita Diet Season 4 will not be premiered, sources have confirmed. Netflix has also obliged that the zombie comedy-adventure won’t have another season after season 3. The streaming giant said that the audience hasn’t known a zombie comedy before. But they also thanked the creator of the show Victor Fresco for introducing the concept.

Executive producer, Tracy Katsky and Fresco were also grateful to the company for taking a chance with their show. The duo said that they have been supportive and appreciative of the series since it’s inception. They were not happy that the show was ending, but endings are inevitable.
“We’ll miss it but we are proud of the work we did and will always appreciate the love and enthusiasm we felt from our audience”,
said the authorities.
Santa Clarita Diet Season 4: Why the contract wasn’t renewed
Netflix’s decision was unexpected and surprising. A year ago, Cindy Holland along with her team thought that the Drew Barrymore starrer would go on for some more seasons. Olyphant and Barrymore received good reviews and positive reports from the original programming chief as well.
But recently, the streaming service has raised its standards. It also cancelled One Day at a Time after it didn’t do well for three seasons.
The show has a sizable audience and has also pulled decent numbers as hinted by the industry insiders. The series got exponentially expensive after the production of the first three seasons.
If there isn’t a proportionate increase in the viewers, then the cost per viewer will get prohibitive. It seems that there is a similar situation with Santa Clarita Diet season 4. Shows that persuade the audience for signing up for their service are on the priority list of the streaming service.
