Deadline recently received a confirmation from Netflix which said that Marvel’s Daredevil is not going to return to Netflix for a fourth season run. Netflix also said that they are incredibly proud of the last and the final season of the show. Given that it is painful for the fans, they feel that it is best for everyone that they close the chapter on a better note. Netflix is also thankful to Erik Oleson, the show runner of Daredevil along with its writers and the stellar star cast that includes the Devil of Hell’s Kitchen itself played by Charlie Cox.
Netflix is also thankful to the fans who have supported the TV Show over the years. Given that the series ended on Netflix, people can easily watch the existing three seasons that is still present in the streaming service for years to come. The character of Daredevil is going to be a part of future Marvel projects.
Daredevil is reportedly third of the collaborative work for Marvel/Netflix that is canceled. Jessica Jones and The Punisher are the last of the Marvel series that are still on the streaming giant as both of these shows are already in production. The Punisher is going to make its way to Netflix in early 2019. The fate of both Jessica Jones and The Punisher look grim as the flagship series of Marvel on Netflix was also canceled.
The first Marvel show that was canceled on Netflix was Iron Fist, and it didn’t take a lot of time for Daredevil to come into the list of canceled Marvel Show on Netflix. Marvel’s Luke Cage was canceled on the same day that Daredevil premiered. But the fans of Daredevil were hopeful about the future of the show after the show runner Eric Oleson took it to Twitter and revealed that he had pitched Netflix for the fourth season of Daredevil. And two weeks later Daredevil was canceled.
