Game of Thrones season 8 is finally here and 3 episodes have already been released. The last episode titled The Long Night featured the battle between our heroes and army of the dead to prevent the Night King from overtaking everything and plunging Westeros into an eternal winter.

But his plan was thwarted by Arya Stark when she jumped out of nowhere and plunged a Valyrian Steel dagger into his chest, just as he was about to murder Bran Stark. As he fell into a million pieces of ice, his army disappeared too and it seemed like the war between the living and the dead is finally over.
But a Reddit user who is dissatisfied with the ending has revealed a new theory that could mean that the real Night King is Bran Stark.
Game of Thrones: Is Bran the Night King?

“They hyped up The Night King for seasons upon seasons, years upon years and this is how he goes out? There’s just no way. This plot is so stupid. I think there’s more going on then what meets the eye.”
“Why else was Bran warged for so long? Could it be going back in time to prevent all this bloodshed? Could he have been making a deal with The Night King?
“When The Night King walked up to Bran, he looked like he accepted his fate. I just feel like The Night King is Bran, The Night King was going to kill Bran to destroy himself.
This could possibly mean that the Night King will return in the upcoming episodes and what we just saw was not the complete truth. It could also mean that Bran is either Night King himself, or he could be controlling him in some way.
Will Tyrion defeat him?
Another fan has argued that maybe Bran Stark is the Night King, and Tyrion Lannister will be the one to defeat him. In one of the previous episodes, Tyrion was seen having a deep conversation with Bran. This could mean that he has gained some knowledge that he will use later to defeat him.
