Antonio Brown is in deep trouble now and it seems there is no way out this time. Earlier this week, Brown was accused by a second woman of sexual assault during 2017 when she went to his house to paint a mural of him. Brown then approached her while being naked and just covering his genitals with a small towel.

The second woman filed a lawsuit this past week and it took a major turn when Antonio Brown sent her threatening text messages. NFL has now found that it was indeed Brown behind those messages and it means he’ll surely lose the rape/sexual harassment lawsuit. Considering how much of major breakthrough it is, suspension from NFL for Antonio Brown is on the cards now.
NFL can Suspend Antonio Brown
NFL might not have taken any action against Antonio Brown if he was not proven guilty and things would have eventually cooled out in time. But Brown trying to be smart by threatening the woman and sending her family pictures and calling her broke has changed the entire narrative. Now even if Antonio Brown is found innocent in the rape/sexual harassment lawsuits, the NFL can suspend him over the threatening texts.

As per the rules of NFL, anyone who intimidates or threatens someone, insider or out of the workplace can be considered as a violation of their personal conduct policy. There are two options left for Antonio Brown, either a full-scale investigation which could lead to him getting suspended or they put him on the NFL commissioner’s exempt list.
Possible Options for Antonio Brown
NFL Special Counsel for Investigations and Conduct will now handle the case of Antonio Brown. The committee will oversee the NFL’s investigatory procedures and issue initial discipline for violations of the policy and if found guilty, Brown could be banned from playing NFL.
In case, there are not enough evidences found, Antonio Brown will be put on the commissioner’s exempt list which is more like a paid leave without any bonus. The paid leave will continue till NFL completes their investigation and after which Antonio Brown would be suspended or taken back depending on the verdict.
