Philadelphia Eagles are going through a lot of trouble as their main quarterback is suffering from an injury. Nade Sudfeld is out from the team for a wrist injury and had to undergo surgery. Despite reports saying that he might miss only a few games, there is no guarantee for sure.
Eagles need a backup quarterback for this period and Colin Kaepernick is one of the names coming in their discussions. He is currently a free agent and could easily be signed without much trouble. There are some other backup players in the Eagles, but they are not sure about their ability. Here is why Kaepernick leads the race to replace the Sudfeld as a quarterback for the Eagles.
Kaepernick is ready for Comeback
Colin Kaepernick from his side is doing the best efforts to stay relevant and sending a message to the NFL teams. He recently posted a video of him working out as a way to prove that he can still run on the football field. Kaepernick last played for the team of San Francisco 49ers and had spent the major part of his life in protest against social and racial injustice.
A reporter asked President Trump: "Should Colin Kaepernick get an opportunity to play in the #NFL?" 🏈
Pres. @realDonaldTrump's response: "Only if he's good enough… if he's good enough, they'd sign him in a heartbeat."

After that, he was moved out of the San Francisco team for not adjusting with the officials. Leaving politics out of the equation, Kaepernick has a great physique and throwing arm, can be a great addition to the Eagles.
What will the Eagles choose?
Doug Pederson, the head coach for the Eagles will look at all the options to find a backup quarterback for Sudfeld. Cody Kessler and Clayton Thorson could be one of them, but they have yet to prove their playing abilities. Brock Osweiler, Josh McCown, Matt Cassel, Geno Smith, Josh Johnson, and Sam Bradford are also some of the names that the Eagles could pursue.
The Eagles should absolutely bring Colin Kaepernick in for a workout.

Here we go…
With Nate Sudfeld’s immediate future looking gloomy after an apparent wrist injury….
Should the #Eagles look into working out/signing Colin Kaepernick?

The reason Kaepernick stands out is that he led the San Francisco 49ers in the 2013 Super Bowl. Pederson will try out a few names and turn to Kapernick if none of them works out. Eagles need to hurry a bit as there are other NFL teams ready to sign Colin Kaepernick.
