Justin Crawford, 23, known to be a former standout college running back has admitted to having sex with a 12-year-old girl. He went on to tell the investigators that the sexual encounter between them was the girl’s idea and not his.
At about 5 a.m. Saturday in the living room of Justin Crawford Columbus home, Crawford was spotted by his own wife standing over the young girl while he had an erection, reports the Ledger Enquirer.
A police detective testified here on Monday in a Columbus courtroom during Crawford’s preliminary hearing that, initially after witnessing the incident Crawford’s wife went back to bed, but later could not stop thinking about the terrible incident that she had encountered.
Columbus Police Detective Mark Scruggs testified that, after the alleged incident, the girl told her mother about the incident. She has said that she was asleep in Crawford’s living room and suddenly the former running back at West Virginia University made his appearance in the room and asked her to do oral sex on him before they had sex.
In order to preserve any DNA evidence a sexual assault kit was later administered to the girl, Scruggs added.
According to Scruggs’ testimony, the former running back at first has denied having any sexual contact with the girl when questioned by detectives, but later has admitted to the encounter. But he has told the officials that the sexual contact was the girl’s idea.
