NFL insider Ari Meirov hints at a possible post-draft trade involving Moore. “Dan Moore Jr. has started 49 games in three seasons with the Pittsburgh Steelers, but his time as a starter could end with the addition of Troy Fautanu. Moore had his fair share of struggles, but Pittsburgh could consider keeping him as a reserve option. He’s entering the final year of his rookie contract.”
Meirov suggests that with the Steelers’ newfound confidence in Fautanu and Jones, Moore could find himself playing a swing tackle role or possibly being traded to another team seeking an experienced offensive tackle.
Training Camp Competition
Concerns about Moore’s performance in training camps, especially on the right side, have been noted. With Spencer Anderson and Dylan Cook also in the mix, the Steelers may not need to keep Moore. His starting experience makes him a valuable trade asset, but his future hinges on his training camp performance.
