The San Francisco 49ers cornerback Ahkello Witherspoon got a foot injury in the last game and now they need a replacement. The 49ers are looking at the NFL trade market to search for a new corner and replace Witherspoon but there are a few hurdles involved.
IF YA SMELLLL what the NINERS are cookin’.. 👏🏾👊🏾 a long hard road ahead, but 3-0 is a helluva start. Keep havin’ fun boys. #eastbay #peopleschamp #peoplestightend @gkittle46 @49ers https://t.co/sSYqAwsdXw

#49ers CB Ahkello Witherspoon has a foot sprain. Need another opinion from a foot specialist. Out at least a month.

The 49ers have somehow won all the three games of NFL 2019 season and have great potential for the rest of the season. Although, the next few games won’t be easy for San Francisco as they have to find a stronger corner and improve their defense. The 49ers are currently looking at Jalen Ramsey and Xavien Howard as the replacement to injured CB Ahkello Witherspoon.
Jalen Ramsey is too Costly
Jalen Ramsey is the hottest quarterback in the NFL market right now and every team wants to sign him for boosting their defense. The Jaguars have also changed their minds to trade him out and are somehow asking such a high price that no one agrees for that.
The 49ers are already lacking their 2020 second-round draft pick after trading for Dee Ford and it will be too hard for them to afford Ramsey. The Chiefs, Eagles and Ravens are already in the race for the Jags cornerback and all of them are much closer to Super Bowl compared to the 49ers.
Xavien Howard deal with the 49ers
Xavien Howard is another of those NFL talents who have been stuck in the Miami Dolphins team which is ready to tank in the 2019 season for getting future picks in exchange. Ever since Minkah Fitzpatrick was brought by the Steelers in a high exchange deal, the rest of the Dolphins roster is also waiting for a trade out.
Although Howard will not be that expensive compared to Ramsey, he is not at the peak of his form. It would be smart of the 49ers to not waste their money or future picks and have some faith on Jimmy Garappolo for the 3-4 games that Witherspoon misses.
