Houston Texans are trying their best to find a new deal for Jadeveon Clowney and there is no success. The fact that Clowney has performed average in the last few seasons is the biggest hindrance in the deal. The Texans have tried to make trade deals with the Miami Dolphins and Washington Redskins but it’s almost impossible.
It’s come to my understanding that one of Jadeveon Clowney’s biggest fans is Seahawk LT Duane Brown.
Also, want to know how well Paxton Lynch is progressing? Geno Smith got himself back on the field less than a week after surgery. The vet knows that Lynch has upped his game

There are very fewer chances for a deal to work out as the other teams are also suffering from the same issues. New England Patriots and Philadelphia Eagles have also expressed interest in Clowney but they are in no hurry and won’t offer much. The latest team linked with Jadeveon is the New York Jets and things may work out soon. Texans and Jets might agree for a rental deal and trade Clowney before the NFL 2019 season.
Jets needs New Players
New York Jets could be the second-best team in the AFC East if they can make some major changes in their roster. Adam Gase and Sam Darnold are a good scorer but they also need a strong defense to win the match. Avery Williamson might not be available for the whole year and the Jets needs someone to replace him.

It won’t be an easy task and the Jets could sign Jadeveon Clowney for the task. Joe Douglas, the general manager for Jets could take a risk and make a deal with the Houston Texans. Clowney could be a great addition to the New York Jets and can improve their defense.
How would the Deal Work?
Clowney will be traded out of Texans is a sure thing and the Jets could leverage and ask for a rental deal. New York could use Clowney for around a year and then exchange him with some other team in March 2020. The Jets can flip his tag and thus there is no need to pay for the later duration of his salary money.
While a potential trade is complicated, the #Texans are willing to listen to offers for Jadeveon Clowney, per @AdamSchefter. Since Clowney hasn’t signed his franchise tender, he would have to approve any trade Houston agrees to.

If the Jets could manage this gamble, they won’t have to trade out their 2020 first-round draft pick. New York could even trade out Williams in the next free agency in case things don’t work out. The only problem here is that the Texans won’t easily sale out Clowney in a rental deal.
