The Brooklyn Nets’ center Nic Claxton might get traded to the Boston Celtics this offseason. The Celtics have a brilliant roster right now; they had a busy summer, and they will contend in the upcoming season. But it does not look like the Celtics are done yet, and a few trades involving them might happen very soon. Will the Nets allow the Celtics to get their dream squad?
The Georgia Bulldogs product played 76 games for the Nets last season and averaged 12.6 points, 1.9 assists and 9.2 rebounds per game while shooting 70.5 percent from the field. He is a switchable big man and is one of the best in that profile. Can the Celtics pull this off? Here is all the information you need about the trade between the Brooklyn Nets and the Boston Celtics involving Nic Claxton.
What would the Celtics offer for Nic Claxton?
The Celtics are expected to offer Payton Pritchard, Luke Kornett, Delano Banton, and one first-round pick each from the years 2025 and 2027 in exchange for the Nets’ #33. The Celtics do not have much to spend on salaries since they recently handed Jaylen Brown the most expensive contract in the history of the league. But they can splash the capitals they have on the player of their liking.

Why would the Nets trade-off Nic Claxton?
The Nets know that they are not going for the title next season, they have got a lot of work to do. In addition to that, Nic’s future with the team is not certain yet. They would not like to pay a huge amount while negotiations are ongoing. This deal gives them three decent players along with two very valuable draft picks. They can use these assets to land a star player later.
Nic Claxton said he wants to "master" the drop coverage this season:
"It's different. I haven't played drop much. We did a little bit last year and then my first year in the league… But it's just an adjustment and challenge for me. I wanna master it, I wanna show that I can… pic.twitter.com/VdH1o4lvMO

Why would the Celtics like to sign Nic Claxton?
The 24-year-old will be a great replacement for Robert Williams III who the Celtics traded to the Blazers. The Celtics would have to sort out a lot of financial complexity if they do this deal but it also strengthens their already talented squad.
Will the Celtics risk their financial stability to make their best shot at the title? How will the Nets line up in the upcoming season? We’ll keep you updated.
