There were two more shows to be completed by Stevie Nicks to complete the 2018 world tour of Fleetwood Mac and the news were lingering around that she is the first person to be in the institution for two times.
She said to the Rolling Stone that she is very emotional and managed to control her tears because the honor what she has received seems to be high. The nomination had happened in the month of October but she did not have any belief that this would happen. She also did not have any thought about this as she was busy in her regular schedule.
She says that since her childhood if some fantastic incidents happen she would not believe it on the first hand because if the incident does not happen in real, she would be hurt too much. She also takes time to believe it even in the first place.
As she was preparing herself for the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame show, she got this news and it took lot of time for her to even accept this she says.
The moment was amazing for her because when she heard Mick congratulating her, it was unbelievable. She happened to join the Fleetwood mac in the year 1975 and they began speaking about the solo album in 1979 and she completely dedicates to Jimmy Iovine and in turn he accepted to record it for her which was super exciting news for her. She had a great support for her solo works.
Getting this honor at the age of 70 was a big task whereas for the girls of now would not be having much difficulty like she faced. She wanted to have many daughters so that she could have more women singers as well as anytime they could all discuss about music.
She says that she had lot more things to do yet she feels that she is elated and the ceremony is going to happen in the month of March for which her emotional journey began now itself.
Her parents are not with her and if they were around her they would be the happiest people she said. She is a big fan of Leppard and she loves their music. She says that they were her inspiration. Like Def, Janet Jackson is also in her list and she listens to her music every night.
She does not have any plans of what songs she would be playing and after she reaches her home she would have a clear decision once discussing with her friends and loved ones.
Her excitement is on higher level and she said there would bunch of people join this happiest moment of her life.
She is happy for having been honored at this time and not after 78 years or later in case has to be ready with her walker and grey hair flowing and she laughed saying this. Throughout her speech the excitement was on top.
