Nikki Haley, also known as Nimrata is an American politician and diplomat. Nikki Haley was the 116th and first female governor of South Carolina from 2011 to 2017. She was appointed by President Donald Trump as the 29th American ambassador to the UN, serving in that capacity from January 2017 to December 2018.
From 2017 to 2018, Haley served as the United States ambassador to the United Nations. She was sworn in after being confirmed by the US Senate in January 2017 by a vote of 96-4. Haley reiterated the US readiness to use military force in response to additional North Korean missile tests in the wake of the 2017–2018 North Korean crisis.
