A North Carolina woman has been having amazing run-ins with her luck. Kenya Sloan won $2 million from a lottery scratch-off shortly after winning $1 million months before. The 41-year-old woman got her $2,000,000 Diamond Dazzler ticket from a convenience store in Shelby, North Carolina, in October. Sloan previously explained that she used the $1 million prize money to build her home. With the new win, she wants to open a soul food restaurant.
Kenya Sloan said, “I was just standing there in shock. I just feel blessed. That’s all I have to say. I told some of my family members, and they couldn’t believe it either.” Sloan decided to opt out of the lump-sum option of $1.2 million, about $855,006 after taxes after she went to the lottery headquarters this week. NC Education Lottery said, “Two months after a $1 million win, Kenya Sloan of #Shelby won $2 million on a Diamond Dazzler scratch-off from Esha Food Mart on S. Lafayette St. “I was like, ‘No way this happened again,’” Sloan said. Now she is planning to open a restaurant. #NCLottery”

In another instance, a woman had a baby and won the lottery the same day. NC Education Lottery stated that the woman “matched numbers on four white balls and the Powerball to win $50,000 in the Nov. 9 drawing. The prize doubled to $100,000 when the 2X Power Play multiplier hit.” The woman collected her prize from the headquarters and walked away with $65,015 after tax and decided to pay for her house with the money. “I feel like she brought me my luck,” Hernandez told lottery officials. “I’m so thankful.”
