The Toronto Raptors’ forward, OG Anunoby, might play for the Miami Heat in the upcoming season. The Heat are eyeing to sign a point guard this offseason, and they were going to land one of the best in the league. Damian Lillard had requested a move to the Heat on the first day of the transfer window, but the Blazers were more than the Heat could afford. So, the deal collapsed, but the desire for a point guard has not.
The Indiana Hoosiers product Anunoby played 67 games for the Raptors last season and averaged 16.8 points, 2 assists, and 5 rebounds per game while shooting 47.6 percent from the field. He is a portable player and can easily complement the star of the team. The Heat lost the finals last season, and they would like to sign a player who can help them carry the momentum. Will they sign the 26-year-old? Here is all the information you need about the trade between the Toronto Raptors and the Miami Heat involving OG Anunoby.
What would the Heat offer for OG Anunoby?
The Heat are expected to offer Tyler Herro and a 2029 first-round pick in exchange for the Raptors’ #3 and Thaddeus Young. The Heat were likely to involve Tyler Herro in a three-team trade to land Lillard, but it looks like they have given up on that now.
#Sources — Toronto has cooled off trade talks completely on both Pascal Siakam & OG Anunoby. Raptors will reassess throughout the regular season and into the upcoming trade deadline. #NBA

Why would the Raptors trade-off OG Anunoby?
The Raptors might be thinking that they need somebody to score against a set defense and that is why acquiring Tyler Herro would make them a lot better. He would be a great companion for Scottie Barnes and Pascal Siakam. They are also getting a draft pick in this deal, which can help them in the later phases.
Despite losing VanVleet, the Raptors believe they can still compete with the top teams in the East and do not want to trade OG Anunoby, Pascal Siakam, or Gary Trent Jr.

Why would the Heat like to sign OG Anunoby?
Tyler did not play a significant role in the Heat’s final run last season, and they would be happy to flip him for a quality player. But the Heat are not landing a star point guard in this deal. Can they manage to have a successful season without one?
Will the Heat manage to land Damian somehow? How will Anunoby change the dynamics of the team? We’ll keep you updated.
