Say hello to the new caretaker manager for Manchester United for the entire 2018/19 season, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer. The official announcement came Wednesday night as Ed Woodward, the Executive Vice President of the club appointed the former striker to take care of the team.
Solskhjaer represented Manchester United from 1996 to 2007. He made a total of 366 appearances from the club scoring 126 goals in total. He took up the managerial role in Norway at FC Molde.
After sacking Jose Mourinho, the club is going to conduct a full-fledged recruitment process to decide the full-time manager for the team. Till then, it is all up to Solskhjaer to take the team forward this season. He will be accompanied by Mike Phelan who will be the first team coach.
On being appointed for this new role, Solskhjaer said that ManU has always been his heart and he is too excited to work with such a talented team.
