One Piece, an anime series, has long been criticized for its sluggish pace. The criticism has been so strong that Wit and Netflix have worked together to develop an updated version of One Piece. However, the team of One Pace has put in effort for years to improve the pace. Many fans have been dissatisfied with the show’s slow pacing, prompting some to abandon it instead of reading the manga. Some fans have gone so far as to claim that the animators are not only disappointing the fanbase but also insulting the creator by destroying such a magnificent creation.
One Pace Editor Shows How The Original Anime Could Use Less Unnecessary Scenes To Stretch The Episodes
The Egg Head Island Arc of the One Piece anime is presently airing on Netflix with 14 episodes released so far. Despite countless requests from fans, the animators opted to disregard them. In response, a few fans launched a project called One Pace to “correct” the pacing difficulties that had irritated fans for years. However, the anime series is known for extending episodes for no apparent reason, and most episodes feature filler material.
The One Pace editor shared a short clip from One Piece Episode 1099, which showed Atlas confronting Rob Lucci’s group alone. Atlas is Vegapunk’s satellite and embodies his aspect of “violence.” In the episode, Shaka prepares to deal with the invasion of Egghead by Lucci’s group. However, Atlas disregards orders and suffers damage while attempting to fight Lucci. The One Pace team edited this scene for the One Piece fandom.

The editor of One Pace has brought attention to the necessity of rewriting One Piece episodes once more, with the fans missing out on more visually striking scenes. The comparison dropped by the editor proved that it was feasible to save one minute and forty-three seconds from that one clip alone by eliminating the unnecessary sequences.
In this scene, One Pace’s snappier editing really lets you feel the sheer power on display!

One Piece anime viewers have made it known that they want to see further advancements in the pace and quality of the animation. While there have been significant improvements to the animation, the animators cannot still make episodes a bit more crisp. Some fans have speculated that certain scenes were stretched out to fill time and lead up to the main scenes of the next episode.
Nevertheless, most fans agree that a reworked One Piece with a better pace would be enjoyable. Some fans are worried that the series is losing the magical quality of the original manga and that the current speed is getting uncomfortable to watch.
Fans are looking forward to a Netflix remake series based on Eiichiro Oda’s manga. Although just the East Blue Saga has been confirmed for a remake, Netflix may opt to adapt the entire series if it succeeds. Fans are anticipating that the new series will contain episodes exploring the secondary narratives that go across many chapters. In addition, they want Netflix to “undo” moments that were toned down in the original anime episodes.
