It has been almost five months since Netflix released the Live Action of One Piece, and since then fans have been awaiting the news of One Piece Live Action Season 2. With a small message from Eiichiro Oda, Netflix has already teased the fans with the announcement of One Piece Live Action Season 2.
The teaser revealed that the popular streaming platform has decided to renew the series and continue the adventures of the Straw Hat pirates. However, there have been no updates since then, leaving the fans wondering when One Piece Live Action Season 2 would unveil its release date, cast, and trailers! Well! We have an update, and here is all you need to know!
When Will One Piece Live Action Season 2 Start Filming?
Netflix has already planned on getting the rights to the One Piece series, and they have already started working on it. The Egghead Island Arc is currently airing on Netflix, starting with Episode 1089. Fans should anticipate Netflix to include additional episodes previously available on Crunchyroll. Netflix appears to have taken a serious interest in Eiichiro Oda’s manga series since they have also opted to remake One Piece in collaboration with Wit Studio.
This brings us to some more questions, whether Netflix also has plans to continue the One Piece Live Action Season 2. Technically Netflix is preparing to release Netflix Season 2 but they have not started filming yet. According to an interview with Digital Spy, Taz Skyler, the actor who plays Sanji in Netflix’s One Piece Live Action, stated the production for Season 2 of One Piece Live Action will begin shortly in South Africa.
South Africa will face its winter season from May to August, and the team is rumored to be waiting for the winter season to pass. This could eventually lead to One Piece Live Action Season 2 getting on the set after August 2024. Taz Skyler is excited about returning to South Africa to shoot One Piece Live Action Season 2 and reuniting with the cast and crew.

The actor further teased what to expect from One Piece Live Action Season 2, and how the writers are correctly focusing on every character from the series. Fans need not worry as Netflix is already on its way to preparing the setup for One Piece Live Action Season 2 according to an official tweet by One Piece Netflix account, back in October 2023.
One Piece Live Action Season 2 Cast
Taz Skyler is currently busy promoting his upcoming film “Gassed Up.” So it is quite apparent that One Piece Live Action Season 2 will not start filming without his appearance since Sanji is an important character for the Straw Hat pirates. Other than Taz Skyler, One Piece Live Action Season 2 will bring back the original cast which includes Iñaki Godoy Jasso, the actor who plays the main character, Monkey D Luffy, Jacob Romero Gibson as Usopp, Mackenyu Maeda as Zoro, and Emily Rudd as Nami.
Netflix is quite hush-hush with the additional new cast that fans are anticipating seeing in the One Piece Live Action Season 2, however, potential names for upcoming characters such as Nicco Robin, having three actresses already lined up for the role, Kizaru, Dr. Kureha, and more, are already coming to light.
