Smartphone companies have started shifting towards other parts of the electronics industry with new OnePlus Smart TV announced this month. Last year OnePlus had launched two premium TVs. Now, OnePlus is trying to enter the budget TV segment to compete with Xiaomi and Realme, so it’s gearing up to launch affordable TVs for the Indian consumers.
CEO Lau on OnePlus Smart TV
In one of the tweets, OnePlus CEO Lau mentions,
“Our new Cinematic Display has earned its name with an exceptional DCI-P3 93% color gamut, one of the fullest, most vivid displays of color out there.”
This means that its display quality will be on par with some premium TVs. For the affordable segment too OnePlus seems to focus on the screen and user experience like its previous Q1 series.
Lau also tweets, “We’re taking smoothness to the next level with our innovative Gamma Engine to deliver better picture quality at a more affordable price.” The screen is one of the most important factors consumers consider while buying a TV and OnePlus is targeting to achieve exactly that.
