For the big acting prices of Oscars 2019, we have Olivia Colman (The Favourite), Melissa McCarthy (Can You Ever Forgive Me?), Lady Gaga (A Star Is Born) Yalitza Aparicio (Roma) and Glenn Close (The Wife).

Kevin Hart chose to step down from the position of the host of Oscars 2019. This was after the controversy regarding his homophobic tweets. He said,
I have made the choice to step down from hosting this year’s Oscars. This is because I do not want to be a distraction on a night that should be celebrated by so many amazing talented artists.
He refused to apologize despite the Academy’s request. He said that he was guilty for hurting people and he is still evolving. His only aim is to bring people together and not tear them apart. He was grateful for the opportunity, but chose not to host the awards.
However, a replacement host for Oscars 2019 has not been announced yet.
