The manga follows Gorou Amamiya, a gynecologist in charge of the delivery of a famous pop singer named Ai Hoshino. However, on the day of Ai’s delivery, Dr. Gorou is mysteriously murdered. Dr. Gorou is later reincarnated as Ai Hashino’s child, Aquamarine Hoshino, and retains his prior life memories.
The manga also delves into the dark side of pop culture. With Ai murdered four years after giving birth to Aquamarine and Ruby Hoshino, Aqua takes on the challenge of determining who murdered his mother.

Aka Akasaka said that he already has the finale of his manga planned in an interview with Spur magazine while he talked about wrapping up the manga within August 2023.

The fans of Oshi No Ko were a little uneasy about the developments between Aqua and Ruby in the most recent chapter. As you may already know from the previous chapters, Sarina is reincarnated as Ruby Hashino, Aquamarine’s fraternal twin sister, making them siblings.
However, Oshi No Ko Chapter 123 had an uncomfortable surprise in the final panel of the chapter. The panel shows Ruby asking Aquamarine if he remembers in his previous birth his promise of marrying her when she turns sixteen.

The end is in sight and has already been decided
Fans have assumed that Ruby and Aqua may end up together at the end of the manga and Ai Hoshino would be reincarnated as their child. Or they might die together at the end of the chapter after discovering the murderer.
