Osvaldo Trujillo was born in 1924 in Medellín, Colombia. He was the third child of Griselda Blanco and her first husband, Carlos Trujillo. Carlos was a counterfeiter employed by drug dealer Alberto Bravo.
Osvaldo was part of a family of three brothers: Dixon and Uber Trujillo, who were older, and Michael Corleone, his younger half-brother from his mother’s relationship with Dario Sepúlveda, a drug dealer. In 1974, Osvaldo, his mother, and siblings fled Colombia to the United States to escape her conviction for cocaine trafficking.
After moving to Queens, New York, Griselda set up her cocaine business with the help of Bravo, who eventually became her second spouse.
Bravo’s mother enlisted him and his siblings to join the cocaine trade, instructing them on how to transport, distribute, and market the illegal substance. There is no record of his educational background.
Married Life
At the age of 15, Osvaldo Trujillo tied the knot with his wife, Elena Trujillo. However, in 1992, he was tragically killed outside a club in Medellín, Colombia, causing a rift between him and Elena.
At the time, Elena was with him when she was struck by gunfire. Although she survived the assault, she tragically lost her spouse and the father of her kids.
His passing devastated Elena and she mourned him for an extended period. Eventually, she moved to Miami and lived with Osvaldo’s half-brother, Michael Corleone Blanco, the only surviving son of Griselda Blanco.
Cause of Death
Osvaldo Trujillo was the first son of Griselda to pass away. In October 1992, he was fatally killed outside a Medellin nightclub. They were suddenly attacked by individuals on a motorcycle who shot at them. He passed away at the location, while his wife Elena was injured.
It is believed that his murder was carried out as revenge by those who opposed his mother, who was responsible for numerous killings in Colombia while she was in power as the Cocaine Queen. After Osvaldo’s demise, his siblings Dixon and Uber were also killed in Colombia in 1995 and 1998, respectively.
The ongoing drug war and vendetta against his family had a significant impact on him as well. Out of all of Griselda’s children, only her youngest son Michael Corleone managed to survive.
He moved to Miami and established a fashion label and a reality television show that focused on his upbringing as the child of a notorious cocaine trafficker.
According to his lifestyle brand’s website, Michael Corleone Blanco, the fourth and youngest child of Griselda Blanco, still lives and refers to himself as the “proud son of Griselda Blanco.”
The VH1 reality show “Cartel Crew” featured Michael Corleone Blanco, showcasing the lives of relatives of well-known cartel figures in Miami.
