Before the press tour for Pacquiao vs Thurman began, Manny Pacquiao was known as one of the calmest and composed boxers in the history of the sport. His trash talk too, would appear rather sober and sophisticated and he was known as a humble and simple man. However, this time, as he preps up to face off against an undefeated, younger, opponent, the Pacman seems to be rather unsettled.

Let us take a closer look at why Manny Pacquiao is angry – and is that an advantage for Keith Thurman?
Pacquiao vs Thurman: Why is the Pac Man Angry?
Buboy Fernandez, the trainer of Manny Pacquiao, has reported that he is seeing ‘the nasty side’ of the Pac Man for the first time in years! This is likely due to his anger against comments made by Thurman during the media tour which were about ‘making him disappear’ and saying that he will do to Pacquiao what Pacquiao did to Oscar De La Hoya.
In retaliation to this, Pacquiao has said that he will teach Thurman how a forty-year-old boxer fights. Furthermore, Thurman even made statements such as ones where he said he will ‘crucify’ Pacquiao. This anger is all set to be on display when the two hit the ring on the 20th of July for the Pacquiao vs Thurman bout at the MGM Grand.
Is This Anger Going to Help Pacquiao?
Anger is never good, unless it is in the world of boxing. As the legendary Mike Tyson would say ‘I throw every punch with bad intentions’. Anger isn’t good, but if Pacquiao is able to channel that anger into a fury mixed with his veteran skills, he will be an unstoppable force in the ring and hand Thurman his first loss at the Pacquiao vs Thurman match.
