Show writer talks about season 6
The series writer, Steven Knight, was interviewed recently about where he wants the story and characters to go. He was also asked where he is right now with regards to Peaky Blinders season 6. The writer stated that right now he has such a momentum that the story is writing itself. He revealed that most of the characters of Peaky Blinders have a mind of their own and determine their own journey.
“There’s no writers room, or any other writer involved. I write everything from beginning to end. Maybe it’s just me not being able to let go of something, especially with Peaky. I can’t let it go,”
Knight said.
“I’m about to start writing season 6 now and if all the wheels fall off, or it goes horribly wrong, there’s probably people that will say something. But at this moment, it has its own logic and momentum. Right now, it feels as if the characters are just writing themselves.”
What’s the plot
The British drama series is focused on the story of Tommy Shelby, who is the leader of a criminal gang in Birmingham in the early 20th century. The show focuses on the cat and mouse game between him and Chief Inspector Chester Campbell who is hell-bent on putting an end to the activities of his gang.
The studio has not announced unofficial airdate power season 5 of Peaky Blinders. However, if things go well, the show will air later this year or in early 2020.
