Sources have informed WFAA that there will be a relocation of The PGA of America to Frisco and planning to move officially by next week. This move also clearly indicates that Championship golf would be coming back to North Texas which will be of first time in its history.
It has gone to the approval of public private partnership on Tuesday in the meeting of Frisco city Council. It seems that the council members have extended their support for the project to be proceeded. This deal will be finalised by the Frisco city leaders in Dallas.
Added to this, to give a green signal city’s Economic Development and Community Development Corporations will be voting for this project. 29,000 PGA professionals are added into the membership of PGA and they run the golf clubs. People get with PGA Tour who is running the golf tournaments with PGA. The new place of relocation will be in the meeting point of Panther Creek Parkway and the Dallas North Tollway. PGA is shifting to the new place as it is headquarter from West Palm Beach and they were there since 1965.
The coming ear PGA championship will happen in its new place at Frisco. Sources say that Bob Rowling was the man behind to make this deal happen. Along with this project few more like Resorts and Omni Hotels will be added in this. They made this deal by ensuring that all future championship as well Ryder cup to happen in this location.
The timetable has not been rolled out yet the sources say it could probably begin in the next year spring season. The championship will be happening in the May month and the first opening date will be in 2025.PGA has planned to join top companies for relocation.
