The Philadelphia Sixers are likely to make a blockbuster move this season. The Sixers parted ways with their star point guard, James Harden, after a long sequence of drama and discussions. The trade gained pace when James Harden called the Sixers’ president a liar publicly. James finally managed to unite with his friends at the Los Angeles Clippers.
Now, the Sixers might be forced to rebuild if their star center and the reigning MVP, Joel Embiid, asks for a trade. They would like to strengthen their squad so as to maintain their record in the league. If they fail to do so, the chances of Embiid’s departure would skyrocket. Here are five players the Philadelphia Sixers can acquire to strike out the possibility of a potential Embiid trade.
Wizards’ Kyle Kuzma to the Philadelphia Sixers
The Sixers are expected to offer De’Anthony Melton, Marcus Morris and a first-round pick from the year 2029 and 2030 in exchange for the Wizards’ #33. This deal would give them a player who is a versatile frontcourt star who can shoot and rebound well.
The #Sixers are expected “to be aggressive” with upgrading their roster before the trade deadline — after sending James Harden to Los Angeles, per @MikeAScotto.

Bulls’ DeMar DeRozan to the Philadelphia Sixers
The Bulls are likely to rebuild, and they would like to trade their veterans. The Sixers can grab the opportunity by landing DeMar DeRozan in exchange for De’Anthony Melton, Marcus Morris, Furkan Korkmaz and one first-round pick each from the year 2029 and 2030. The six-time All-Star would be a great option to have not only in the regular season but in playoffs as well.
The #Sixers are “hoping” their trade assets will be enough to acquire a player similar to Jrue Holiday, per @MikeAScotto.

Raptors’ Pascal Siakam to the Philadelphia Sixers
The Raptors might also look to get out of their mediocrity since the league is getting more competitive with each passing season. The Sixers can see this as a great opportunity to land a star forward. They are likely to offer De’Anthony Melton, Marcus Morris, Furkan Korkmaz, and one first-round pick each from the years 2029 and 2030 in exchange for the Raptors’ #43. Pascal is a great floor spacer and can contribute to the boards as well.
Will the Sixers be able to perform well enough to convince Joel Embiid to stay? We’ll keep you updated.
