PlayStation 5 and XBOX Scarlett (XBOX Two) are all set to be the gen-next gaming consoles from Sony and Microsoft. However, before these devices can be announced, it appears that Google has pulled the rug from under their feet! With Google Stadia’s announcement, Google wants to eat away a portion of the gaming markets.
Google Stadia offers a game streaming service which requires gamers to just have access to a Google Chrome browser and a USB Controller. Let us take a closer look at how PlayStation 5 and XBOX Scarlett stand against Stadia.
PlayStation 5 and XBOX Scarlett vs Stadia: Battle of Teraflops
The announcement that Google Stadia will have 10.7 Teraflops of Graphics Processing capacity has caused quite a sensation in the gaming industry. This basically means that without even owning a physical console, you will get the best of gaming experience!
To counter this, XBOX Scarlett and PlayStation 5 are now expected to feature a higher Graphics Processing capacity. This means that Microsoft and Sony are now worried about Google’s entry into the gaming markets and the possible disruption Google can cause.
PS5 and XBOX Scarlett Release Date
While we do not know what Microsoft and Sony’s plans are with regards to the launch of XBOX Scarlett/XBOX Two and PlayStation 5, we know for a fact that Google Stadia will release in 2019. It is currently speculated that the two new consoles from Sony and Microsoft will be announced later this year and released in early to mid 2020.
