Nintendo has just released the new trailer for its latest Pokemon Sword and Shield RPG game. While the previous generations of Pokemon games such as Pokemon Go faded quickly, this is the latest game in line.
A whole new Series of Pokemon Games have been launched by Nintendo through the direct feature presentations. Pokemon Sword and Shield are one of the first Pokemon titles to be released for Nintendo Switch.
New Pokemon Game Trailer
Nintendo launched a whole new feature presentation as the trailer for the new Pokemon Game. The video contains the makers explaining their Vision behind the Game and how they want to dedicate it to the players.
Pokemon Sword and Shield presentation don’t reveal any footage of actual gameplay, it was just background and animation style. Also, Scorbunny, Grookey, and Tadpole are introduced as the 3 starting Pokemon.
Pokemon Sword and Shield Gameplay
While the previous Pokemon Let’s Go series Games were developed for a big screen mode played with external remote controller, Pokemon Sword and Shield is specially designed for the mobile handheld Nintendo Consoles.
Pokemon Sword and Shield have a full 3D style animation, just like the games released on Nintendo Switch last year. There are reports of custom Avatars and 3D environment models rendered in the game.
Title Explanation
The subtitle Sword and Shield have garnered much attention and has left fans wondering what it could mean in the Pokemon context. The logo teased in the Pokemon Sword and Shield trailer gives us a hint about the title.
While Sword means to attack and Shield mean defense, it could be related to two different styles of Pokemon. Some other reports suggest that since the Pokemon game is based in Britain, it could be inspired by King Arthur and his round table legend stories.
Pokemon Game New Features
Since the release of Pokemon Let’s Go, the fans of the Pokemon game series were concerned about the limited ability and full gameplay unavailability. Now, it looks like the wishes of the Gamers are going to get true with Pokemon Sword and Shield.

In an interview with Japanese Gaming Magazine Famitsu, Tzunekazu Ishihara, the main head of Pokemon company has assured Fans that they will be getting something unique this time. Pokemon Sword and Shield will be totally different from the Pokemon Let’s Go titles and will also feature random encounters along with the routine series gameplay.

With the improved gameplay and more freedom, there are certain other things which fans want in the new Pokemon Swords and Shield Game. Fans wish to see some new and better features such as.
- Improved Graphics – Fans of the Pokemon wants to have a rich and immersive graphics, better 3D experience, and an improvement over the Sun and Moon game series.
- Let’s Go Compatibility – Most of the Gamers have been playing Pokemon Let’s Go for a long time and doesn’t want to lose their progress. It would be nice if the captured Pokemon and badges can be transferred to Pokemon Sword and Shield.
- Motion Support: While the gaming consoles have sturdy buttons, what Fans want is a motion sensor, which can be used to throw poke balls and fight matches.
Release Date
Currently, Nintendo had not given any release date for the arrival of Pokemon Sword and Shield but reports that solid that the game will be released by the end of this year. Nintendo will have a huge presence at the E3 Expo 2019 and is expected to drop some big names.
Nintendo Live Stream will start on Tuesday, June 11 at 9 am Pacific Standard Time. The special Nintendo Treehouse Livestream will be used to announce the release of upcoming games.
