Reports say that the partner of a Tennessee police officer who was fired after she was accused of having sexual relationships with six of her coworkers plans to help her.
Officer Meagan Hall, who is 26 years old and works at the La Vergne police station, is accused of having sexual relations with six male officers, some of them while she was “on duty and inside the city-owned property.”
The former police officer is said to have had “sexual relationships” and “exchanged explicit photos” with several of her male coworkers, all of whom have since been fired or put on administrative leave. She is also said to have told in the Jedidiah Hall that she and her husband were in an “open marriage.”
Even though everyone now knows about the scandal at Meagan’s job, her husband has no plans to leave her.
I don’t know how he’s doing it, he’s more of a man than I am, but he’s trying to salvage his marriage,
Jedidiah’s boss, Coffee County Sheriff Chad Partin said.
I don’t condone what went on at the La Vergne Police Department but he sure hasn’t broken any laws. He’s the victim here. There’s not a blemish on his record. He is doing a phenomenal, phenomenal job.
In December, an internal investigation was started to look into claims that Meagan and other officers had done something sexually wrong.
Juan Lugo-Perez, a patrol officer, Henry Ty McGowan, a sergeant, Lewis Powell, and Seneca Shields, a detective, have also been fired from their jobs. Larry Holladay, who was a patrol and K-9 officer, Patrick Magliocco, who was also a patrol officer, and Gavin Schoeberl, who was also a patrol officer, have all been fired from their jobs.
During the investigation, it was said that Meagan had “engaged in a sexual relationship” with a total of six of the officers listed above. Two of them, she was said to have had sexual encounters with “while on duty and on city property.”
Reports say that Magliocco and Powell, two of the police officers who were involved in the incident, are also married to other people besides Meagan.
Officer Magliocco says that Sgt. Powell ended his relationship with Meaghan Hall because he was worried about his reputation at work and the state of his marriage.
The report also makes it sound like Meagan caused trouble between her and her husband Jedidiah when she kissed Officer Magliocco’s wife at a party.
In the report, Magliocco talked about the event and said that Jedidiah “really wasn’t on board” with her having a relationship with someone else.
On Monday, Police Chief Burrell Davis talked about the investigation and the people who were fired or suspended because of what they found. He said:
This is a difficult situation for our department and for the city, but I want to be clear that the actions of a few do not represent this department as a whole.
This situation is being addressed internally with our staff, we are bringing in counselors to help our officers work through these circumstances, and we will continue to provide the most professional protection as possible for this community.
We have sufficient staff to cover all of our patrol shifts and I have full confidence in our officer’s ability to protect and serve. We are working diligently to rebuild the trust of our citizens and our community.
We understand this will take time and diligence from our command staff and officers to repair the honor and integrity of our department.
In the meantime, Meaghan’s one and only comment was:
I don’t want to discuss it, I’m just going to move on and live my life.
