If you going grocery to Walmart, Whole Foods, Trader Joe’s or 7-Eleven, just be aware. There have been concerns of salmonella and listeria on some 2,811 pounds of ready-to-eat salads. The suppliers have recalled all of it.
GHSE, GH Foods CA, Mary’s Harvest Fresh Foods and Prime Deli Corporation combined have re-called 2,811 pounds of ready-to-eat salads this Wednesday. The news came officially from the US Department of Agriculture’s Food Safety and Inspection Service.
A week back, the producers inspected the corn used in the salads, and there was some indication of a potential contamination.
The recalled salads include:-

Salad with Chili Seasoned Chicken
– Mary’s Harvest Southwest Chicken Wrap with Rib Meat
– Walmart’s Marketside Fiesta Salad with Steak
– 365 by Whole Foods Market Chicken Fajita Salad
– GH Foods CA’s Santa Fe-Style Salad with Chicken and BBQ-Style Salad Kit with White Chicken- 7-Eleven Bistro Southwest Style Salad with Bacon
– Trader Joe’s Mexicali-Inspired
365 by Whole Foods Market BBQ– Style Chopped Salad with Chicken
The good news is that till date there has been no identification of any contamination or any report of illness associated with the salads. The USDA still advises you to immediately return or dispose of any of the above-mentioned salads.
