Kelly Osbourne has expressed support for her decision to not breastfeed her child after she gives birth to him or her.
In May of this year, the 37-year-old woman, who is the daughter of Sharon and Ozzy Osbourne, made the announcement that she is expecting her first child with the musician Sid Wilson of the band Slipknot.
Recently, on an episode of Red Table Talk, she discussed her pregnancy in greater detail and explained the thought process that went into her decision to forego breastfeeding her child.
“I have chosen to stay on my medication instead of breastfeeding and the judgment that I have received from my friends and also extended family is wild,” she discussed it with the show’s hosts, Adrienne Banfield Norris and Jada Pinkett Smith.

The former host of Fashion Police discussed the reactions of those around her to her decision, such as the possibility of missing out on a bonding experience with her child. She had previously held the position of host of Fashion Police.
“I’m like, ‘Don’t you think I know that?’ What kind of mother am I gonna be if I start going backward, if I start being self-destructive?” she said in response to those comments.
“It’s something for me that I’m learning that I can’t pay attention to the milieu. It has to be what’s best for me, what’s gonna be the best for my baby. If I don’t do that, what kind of mother am I going to be?” she added.
In addition, the woman who is expecting her first child stated that she was experiencing “really hormonal” feelings and that her pregnancy experience thus far had been “one of the roughest, most weirdest, wildest.”
Osborne gushed as she spoke about the support she received from her famous parents in another part of the interview, and she said: “I feel very blessed. My parents have been so incredible, I feel forever indebted to them.”
She also stated that her parents have “stopped trying to fix her” and “forced her” into becoming the daughter they believed she ought to be. She went on to say that she and her mother haven’t had a fight in roughly a year, something that she referred to as a “huge” accomplishment.
Osborne celebrated one year clean and sober in May. Prior to her relapse in April 2021, which she disclosed during a previous appearance on the Facebook show, she had been sober for almost four years.
The reality star made the happy revelation that she was expecting her first child in an uplifting post on her social media page, which also included an image of the sonogram of her unborn child.
“I know that I have been very quiet these past few months so I thought I would share with you all as to why… I am over the moon to announce that I am going to be a Mumma,” she wrote to her 2.5 million fans. “To say that I am happy does not quite cut it. I am ecstatic!”
