The second in line to the British throne is a nine-year-old prince.
Growing up in the British royal family makes you quickly aware of how unique your life is from everyone else’s.
Katie Nicholl, a royal expert and author, explains that Prince George is aware of the significance of his family.
According to The New Royals, Prince William’s nine-year-old eldest son warned a fellow student at school that his father would one day become King William.
Nicholl writes: “[William and Kate] are raising their children, particularly Prince George, with an awareness of who he is and the role he will inherit, but they are keen not to weigh them down with a sense of duty.
“George understands he will one day be king and as a little boy sparred with friends at school, outdoing his peers with the killer line: ‘My dad will be king so you better watch out’.”
As the Bank of England announced when King Charles III would appear on UK banknotes, the Prince reportedly made his remarks.
Charles’ image will appear on existing banknote designs for all four denominations (£5, £10, £20, and £50) by the middle of 2024, and new banknotes with his image will be in circulation by that time.
