According to a recent report, Queen Elizabeth II could be the reason why Prince Harry didn’t end up marrying Chelsy Davy. The report that surfaced recently suggests that Queen Elizabeth II mainly forced the Duke of Sussex not to propose his long time ex-girlfriend.

Prince Harry eventually married Meghan Markle, the former American actress. The couple has been together for over a year now and recently welcomed their first child Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor. Before meeting his wife, Prince Harry was in a romantic relationship with Chelsy Davy.
The Duke loves to party and was known for his rebellious antics. Prince Harry and Chelsy Davy dated for almost seven years. The two decided to part in 2011, but there were rumors of a fling between the two in 2015 as well.
According to a report of 2006 in the Sunday Express, a Palace aide revealed that Queen Elizabeth II warned her grandsons regarding marrying too fast as she felt strongly about royal divorces. Well, it seems that the Duke of Sussex did the right thing by waiting for a couple of years.
Queen Elizabeth II knows about the damage to the monarchy by royal divorces. It is evident by the divorces of Captain Mark Philips and Princess Anne, Prince Andrew and Sarah Ferguson. Not to forget that Prince Charles and Princess Diana also got divorced.
Being the head of the church, Her Majesty opposes royal divorces from the point of principle. She has already witnessed a couple of divorces in the royal family. The monarch wants to ensure that it doesn’t happen again.
