About Record of Ragnarok
Record of Ragnarok is a Japanese action fantasy manga series written by Takumi Fukui and Shinya Umemura. It is illustrated by Ajichika. The manga is being published byCoamix’s seinen manga magazine Monthly Comic Zenon. It started to be serialized in November 2017. Viz Media acquired the license for the manga in North America. The manga series was adapted into an anime produced by Warner Bros Japan. It began airing on the streaming platform Netflix on June 17, 2021. The first season has 15 episodes and the second season aired on Jan 26th, 2023, and has a total of 12 episodes.

Plot
At the end of every millennium, Gods assemble to decide the fate of mankind. They all agree together that for 7 million years, humanity has brought nothing but destruction. So they decide that mankind must go extinct. The Valkyrie Brunhilde suggests that humans must be given a chance to redeem themselves and fight Ragnarök. The gods agree, and the battle begins. The Einherjar represents humanity. Einherjar, are worriers or notable humans throughout the history of mankind who impressed the gods and that were carried to Valhalla by the Valkyrie.
These worriers are each given a Valkyrie, which turns into weapons that match the handler’s combat style. These weapons are called “Volund.” The only issue is these Valkyrie will die if the person handling the Volund dies.
