Jim Toth and Reese Witherspoon are splitting up.
It is with a great deal of care and consideration that we have made the difficult decision to divorce,
read a note that the “Big Little Lies” star posted to Instagram on Friday.
We have enjoyed so many wonderful years together and are moving forward with a deep love, kindness and mutual respect for everything we have created together.
The note, which had “Reese and Jim” written on it, also said the couple’s
biggest priority is our son and our entire family as we navigate this next chapter.
In March 2011, the “Legally Blonde” star and talent agent Toth got married. The announcement of their divorce comes just days before their 12th wedding anniversary and two days after Witherspoon’s birthday.
Tennessee, who is 10 years old, is Witherspoon and Toth’s only child together. She also has two grown children with her ex-husband, actor Ryan Phillippe. Their names are Ava and Deacon Phillippe.
