Sushant Singh Rajput, one of the highly talented Bollywood actors, left for his heavenly abode. His sudden demise was thus a heart wrecking news for everyone. He was admired for his plausible and excellent acting.
His journey from engineering to Bollywood was tremendous. He had enrolled at Delhi College of Engineering. He soon dropped his engineering and pursued full time acting training with Barry John’s theatre and dancing from Shiamak Davar.
Sushant made his debut on television through a soap opera ‘Kis Desh Mein Hai Meraa Dil’. He turned into a renowned actor after he appeared in the serial ‘Pavitra Rishta’.

1) Kai Po Che! (2013)
Sushant Singh Rajput made his way into the Bollywood industry through ‘Kai Po Che!’ which was based on Chetan Bhagat’s novel ‘Three Mistakes of My Life’. The story revolves around 3 friends. The movie traces their deep friendship and their struggles due to politics and communal hatred.
Sushant played the role of Ishaan Bhatt who was an ex-district level cricketer and faced politics during cricket selection. His character portrayed his devotion to cricket and friendship.
2) Shuddh Desi Romance (2013)
Sushant’s appeared for the second time in the movie ‘Shuddh Desi Romance’. The movie dealt with the subject of live-in relationships. Sushant played the role of Raghu who doesn’t want to be stuck in a marriage and wants to live freely because of which he kept eloping from every marriage. The movie is all about the young generation’s point of view about commitment and arranged marriage.
3) PK (2014)
In Rajkumar Hirani’s film ‘PK’, Sushant Singh Rajput played a minor role but it turned out to be a stepping stone for him. The movie is all about an alien whose remote was stolen by a thief and sold to a saint. It’s a chase to retrieve his remote among the chaos of religions and superstitions. Sushant played the role of Pakistani Muslim Sarfaraz Yusuf. His character was, in fact, a minor one but strong enough to leave a great impact on the audience.
4) Detective Byomkesh Bakshy! (2015)
Sushant made an appearance in Dibakar Banerjee’s mystery thriller ‘Detective Byomkesh Bakshy!’ in which he played Byomkesh Bakshy who was bold and fearless. He took up the case of a missing person and ends up unveiling a larger conspiracy in the city.
5) M.S. Dhoni: The Untold Story (2016)
In Neeraj Pandey’s Mahendra Singh Dhoni M.S. Dhoni: The Untold Story, Sushant accurately depicted the charisma of MS Dhoni. The movie represented the struggle MS Dhoni went through to be what he is today. Rajput earned a lot of praise because of his A-1 portrayal among cricket fans.
6) Raabta (2017)
Sushant appeared in Dinesh Vijan’s ‘Raabta’. The story is based on reincarnation. The lead roles, Shiv and Saira, are separated by death and reunited after a few centuries in their next birth. They fall in love and soon become inseparable. Their love story is risked when Saira’s reincarnated lover comes back from her past life.
7) Kedarnath (2018)
Rajput played a lead role in Kedarnath. The movie was set up in the backdrop of the natural disaster in Kedarnath. The story is about a Hindu pilgrim Mukku and Muslim porter Mansoor who fall in love during Kedarnath trek. Mukku’s family turned up against their relationship which is then tested by nature’s wrath.

8) Chhichore (2019)
Sushant Singh Rajput played the role of Anirudh. When Anirudh’s son failed to get an admission in a college, he tried to commit suicide. Sushant, then, recounted his college life memories where he and his were friends were a bunch of losers. He tells his son how much they suffered but never learned to give up.
Rajput taught a life lesson to his audience through his performance. He also showed us the true meaning of life and taught us to never give up.
9) Sonchiriya (2019)
The movie was set in Chambal. A group of dacoits separates when their leader is killed and runs away. Sushant Singh Rajput played the role of Lakhna who was one of the gang members. He wished to surrender but his path wasn’t encouraged by anyone else. Lakhna discovered that baaghis were cursed and it can only be lifted if they saved a girl named Khushi. He was shot dead by the policeman who was after the dacoits while courageously saving Khushi.
10) Dil Bechara (Yet to be released)
Based on John Green’s bestseller ‘Fault in Our Stars’, this film features Sushant Singh Rajput and debutant Sanjana Sanghi. The film is yet to be released. But I fathom it would be difficult to witness in magical performance for the last time.
Finally, Bollywood might not be able to come out of this sudden shock. It indeed lost a young gem forever. But he will live through his remarkable performances in our hearts forever.
