Capcom is all set to release the Resident Evil 4 Remake in 2023. This remake brings the classic Resident Evil game back to life and promises enhanced visuals and several gameplay enhancements.
The game is also set to release on various next-gen consoles such as the PS5. However, many gamers are left wondering whether the popular Resident Evil classic is coming to the Xbox Game Pass. Here’s everything you need to know about Resident Evil 4 Remake releasing in 2023.
Resident Evil 4 is the most popular game in the series
In case you’re unfamiliar, the Resident Evil series is quite popular amongst players, and Resident Evil 4, which was released in 2005 is the most popular Resident Evil game. The game stands as one of the most popular horror games ever made. Japanese game developer Capcom for the Nintendo GameCube originally released it.
The game was subsequently released for other platforms such as Sony’s PlayStation 2, Microsoft Windows, Windows, iOS, Android, PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and even the Oculus Quest 2.
Resident Evil 4 has also been nominated and won several awards. Some of the awards include the CESA Game Awards in 2004 and 2005, Golden Joystick Award, and NAVGTR Awards
The game also sold more than 11 million copies worldwide across all platforms. It, therefore, makes complete sense for a remake.
Resident Evil 4 Remake Release Date, Pricing, and Platforms
A Resident Evil 4 Remake has been on the cards for a while now. A remake was first announced in June 2022 during a PlayStation State of Play livestream presentation.
Resident Evil 4 Remake is set for release on March 24, 2023. The game will be available on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and Windows.
Regarding pricing, Resident Evil 4 Remake will come in 3 editions- Standard, Deluxe, and Collector’s Edition. The Standard edition releases at $ 59.99. You only get the base game in the standard edition.
The Deluxe edition comes at $ 69.99 and includes the base game and an extra DLC Pack.
The Collector’s Edition will set you back $ 249.99 and comes with the base game plus a steel book. You’ll also receive an extra DLC pack, a digital soundtrack, a Leon figurine, an art book, a special wall map, and a collector’s box. Will Resident Evil 4 Remake come to the Xbox Game Pass?
Since Resident Evil 4 Remake is releasing on the Xbox Series X/S, fans who own an Xbox subscription wonder if they can get the game through their Xbox membership.
Unfortunately, it doesn’t look like the game will be available on Microsoft’s subscription service, and players will have to purchase a copy after it arrives on March 24.
The game will also be unavailable for the Nintendo Switch despite the original first release for the GameCube.
However, fans need not be disappointed as Capcom has previously released other titles on Xbox Game Pass, including Resident Evil 7. So, there’s a chance that Resident Evil 4 Remake could make its way to the subscription service in the future.
