The creator of the iconic sci-fi show was developing a game while he should’ve been working on Season 4. Is this the reason behind the delay in the release of the fourth season?
The game is titled ‘Trover Saves The Universe’. The game is being developed by Squanch Games, a company owned by Roiland. The trailer of the game is out and it gives an insight into the dark humour in the game similar to what we’ve seen in Rick and Morty in the past. Here’s a closer look.

Roiland’s latest game is based in a land of space aliens (what else do you expect from the creator). In the game, an evil bird monster kidnaps the dog of your character, you seek the help of Trover to rescue them.
The game is a mix of exploration as well as combat! Trover uses a lightsabre-like weapon. The voice of Trover is provided by Roiland himself! The Rick and Morty creator also gives voice to some other characters in the game.
