Rick and Morty Season 4 release seem light years away from us and fans are stuck in an unending loop of rewatching old episodes. But, the new Rick and Morty advertisement show getting caught in a similar loop.
The official Instagram and Twitter accounts of Rick and Morty posted a video on Wednesday captioning it as ‘eternal loop’. These kind of commercials are called break bumpers or commercial bumpers which are used to remind the viewers about the network they are watching.

Rick and Morty commercial
In the commercial, Rick and Morty come out from a portal in their garage. After Rick’s little jig, they start shooting a claymation clip on a small set in the garage itself.
A zoomed in shot shows tiny version of the duo being moved in the motions by hands. And we see another tinier version of the duo where Rick ultimately shoots the hands which were controlling them. The next moment, they go into another portal which changes into the symbol of Adult Swim.
The eternal loop trend
The different sci-fi layers contains the whole essence of Rick and Morty. And there have been many episodes in which this phenomenon has been shown. The episode named ‘Lawnmower Dog’ of Season 1 showed the duo getting into the subconscious mind of Morty’s math teacher and travelling through many layers.
Again, in the episode of ‘The Ricks must be crazy’ of Season 2, we see Rick’s car is fuelled by a Microverse battery- which is a universe of its own. But, that battery is powered by a Miniverse battery and that in turn is run by a Teenyverse battery. Each having a universe of its own.
Do these commercials have anything to do with Rick and Morty Season 4?
The writers of Rick and Morty play with a sci-fi concept until it reaches a breaking point. Also, Adult Swim had released a similar video in January 2019 where Rick poses as different types of predators and Morty is his prey. Ultimately Rick becomes a black hole and destroys Morty as a planet.
