HBO Max Reveals Rick and Morty: The Anime, Coming on HBO Max Soon
In a recent report, HBO Max has finally revealed another project alongside Rick and Morty Season 7, which will be a Japanese spin-off to the anime series, will be coming soon on HBO Max.
Apart from Max (formerly HBO Max), the anime series will also be streaming on Adult Swim. As far as the release date is concerned, there is no official announcement, but some reports suggest that the spin-off series is just a few months away from the official release.
A Twitter user recently shared an image from the upcoming Rick and Morty spin-off series where it can be seen that both the protagonist of the series, Rick Sanchez and Morty Smith, look way different from the anime series.
Same faces, different places.

Takashi Sano, the director of Tower of God, directs the spin-off series. Before this, Takashi directed Rick and Morty 2 episodes which were titled ” Summer Meets God” and “Rick and Morty vs. Genocider.”
In a press release last year, Takashi revealed that the spin-off anime series will be a standalone series, which means that it will have no connections with Rick and Morty Season 7 or any other previous season.
Takashi Sano said:
“The multiverse-straddling exploits of Rick and the gang pose challenges to the family bond, but they always rise to the occasion. It’s such a life-affirming sight, and Jerry is no exception. I am honored to have been given an opportunity to tell a new story about this amazing family. I hope you enjoy their adventures!”
