Season 7 of Rick and Morty will be released sometime in 2023. Many fans were excited and nervous as the co-creator Justin Roiland was fired. Roiland was not only the creator of the show but also voiced the two protagonists of the show, Rick Sanchez and Morty Smith.
When is Rick and Morty season 7 coming out?
Dan Harmon said that Rick and Morty season 7 is under development during the Adult Swim Con panel. The season has since then been said to have finished its script. The community and fans speculate that the season will premiere sometime in 2023 this year. Season 7 had to have been released sooner, had it not been for the Justin Roiland controversy. Fans are still kept in the dark about who the new voice of Rick Sanchez and Morty Smith is going to be.
No official statement about the official release date of the show has been released by Adult Swim as of now. Although it is highly possible that the season will come out sometime this year. Season 7 will be an experiment to see if the massive change in the voice and possibly the writers of the show will work or not.

Will there be a season 8 of the show?
Although the show has not been renewed for another season as of yet, the possibility of a season 8 is not something out of the ordinary. Despite the changes in the staff, the show has not lost its popularity. Season 8 renewal will depend entirely on how fans receive season 7. The show might get approved for another season after the premiere of season 7.
The show has only been gaining more and more popularity despite the controversies of its co-creator. Adult Swim made a bold and right move to cut all ties with Roiland. It might impact the first season without Roiland, but as long as the stories and the humor pull through, fans will not be as worried about who the voice of Rick and Morty is.
