The Philadelphia Eagles and the Kansas City Chiefs played in the Super Bowl last night at State Farm Stadium in Glendale, Arizona. It was a great game.
Even though the referee might have made a questionable call at the end of the game, the Chiefs won the game by beating the Eagles 38-35. Patrick Mahomes, the team’s 27-year-old quarterback, has been praised for leading the Chiefs to a win and scoring three touchdowns in his second MVP season.
In addition to all the football action, the halftime show was a big topic of conversation online. Fans tuned in to see Rihanna perform on the biggest stage of all.
Fans were excited to hear that the 34-year-old singer would be coming back to the music scene after taking a break to focus on other business projects.
But, overall, the response hasn’t been as good as we had hoped.
Some people criticized Rihanna for her “lack of energy” during her performance, and now others say that the Barbados-born singer is also lip-syncing.
There have been a lot of rumors on Twitter that Rihanna might “take it easy” with her vocals, and let’s just say that some fans did not like the idea.
Might be the worst #SuperBowl halftime show I’ve ever watched,
a user tweeted.
No energy. Boring. She’s not even trying to lip sync properly. Horrible.
Isn’t Rihanna the richest woman alive? Why is she lip syncing? Just do your thing,
added another.
Some people even noticed that she didn’t keep her microphone close to her mouth.
Rihanna not even having the mic near her mouth while the lyrics are playing. Why bother doing the halftime show if you’re not even gonna try and lip sync, bizarre.

And that wasn’t the end of what people said…
I mean almost all artists these days lip sync at major events but Rihanna is just blatantly obvious lol.
I can’t believe I spent 90 minutes fake watching sports I don’t understand nor care about, only for Rihanna to lip sync all her songs and deliver the most anticlimactic halftime show since Coldplay.

And this person even told her that it’s better to get advice late than never.
I am sorry but Rihanna knew she was pregnant and not able to sing and dance for the half time super bowl. She should have said sorry I can't do it please give someone else the chance to entertain everyone in front of millions

And the criticism wasn’t just on Twitter; other well-known people also talked about the performance, or lack thereof, as the case may be.
Donald Trump, who used to be President of the United States and now wants to be a music critic, told us that the whole thing was an “epic fail.”
Taking to Truth Social, he said:
EPIC FAIL: Rihanna gave, without question, the single worst Halftime Show in Super Bowl history
He continued:
This after insulting far more than half of our Nation, which is already in serious DECLINE, with her foul and insulting language.
Also, so much for her ‘Stylist!’,
he added.
Rihanna did a medley of 12 of her most famous songs, such as “Only Girl in the World,” “Rude Boy,” “Work,” “Diamonds,” and “Run This Town.” She wore a red bustier and a matching jumpsuit, which was a new take on the famous “Squid Game” outfit.
The 34-year-old singer also hinted that she was pregnant with her second child by showing a baby bump as she sang. Her rep later confirmed the good news, but some people still didn’t like her performance.
How did you feel about Rihanna’s performance at halftime?
