A month after Rocket Lab pulled off its very first small commercial satellite launch to the orbit, Rocket Lab is all ready to put small probes in the space again. Electron rocket, the small rocket of the company is slated for taking off one more time from New Zealand in next week. As of now the client of the company is none other than NASA.
Rocket Lab has made plans to launch its 13 research satellites which is also a part of the ELaNa-19 mission of NASA. The spacecraft is going up on the flight which are generally derived from the CubeSats which is a standardized satellite.
The spacecraft is made up of 10-centimeter cubes. And Each of the cube has got its own unique task which is similar to studying the belts of radiation around the Earth and on the other hand, these cubes demonstrate brand new ways of propelling the vehicles throughout the final frontier aka space.
The satellites are coming from different centers of NASA along with a few universities such as West Virginia University as well as University of Florida. The journey for Rocket Lab took quite a longer time to launch its first generation of commercial flight.
If the company, Rocket Lab will be able to commence a launch in this week and it is going to make a straightforward turnaround which the company had dubbed for the first time as a total commercial flight back in November as it is finally a time for business for the company.
The reported launch which has put seven satellites into the orbit was actually the third one of the flight which was even attempted by rocket labs. Peter Beck the CEO of Rocket Lab said that the flight of November was flawless and it also had a flawless orbital accuracy.
