Who is Ross McCall?
Ross McCall, a Scottish actor, rose to fame in America for his portrayal of Cpl. Joseph Liebgott in the highly acclaimed HBO miniseries “Band of Brothers,” produced by Steven Spielberg, and executive produced by Tom Hanks.
His roles in Green Street Hooligans and Autopsy further cemented his appeal among enthusiasts of the horror genre. He also starred alongside Robert Patrick in the horror movie Autopsy.
McCall was originally from Port Glasgow, where he was born to John and Maggie McCall. However, when he was 7 years old, his family moved to Kent and he was raised there.
His older brother, Stuart, is a police officer in Sussex. His father held the highest rank of station officer in the Kent Fire Brigade, while his mother worked as a nurse. Although his parents eventually divorced, they remain on good terms and both currently reside in England.

At the young age of 13, Ros McCall gained recognition for his first major role on screen, portraying Freddie Mercury in the music video for Queen’s “The Miracle” in 1989. Four years later, he was cast in the BBC children’s show, The Return of the Borrowers.
McCall appeared in the HBO miniseries Band of Brothers in 2001. Four years later, in 2005, he had a supporting role in the independent drama film Green Street.
He later returned to his character, Dave, in the 2009 straight-to-video follow-up Green Street 2: Stand Your Ground. He also took on the role of Kenny Battaglia in the Starz network’s television series Crash.
In 2008, McCall had a supporting role in Autopsy, a film featured in the After Dark Horrorfest. On February 23, 2010, he made a guest appearance on White Collar in the episode “Bottlenecked” as Matthew Keller, a former adversary of the main character Neal. He returned to play the same role in Episode 14 of Season 2, Episodes 9-11 of Season 3, and Episodes 2-6 of Season 6.
He made a guest appearance on Luther on 1 June 2010 and later appeared in the film Serving Up Richard, which was filmed at the Sunset Gower studios in LA and released in 2011. Additionally, he played the recurring character of Ron Clark on 24: Live Another Day.
Ross McCall’s short documentary, which was released in June 2016, documents his journey to the Faroe Islands and his endorsement of Sea Shepherd’s ‘Operation Sleppið Grindini’ campaign.
The film features interviews with locals discussing their opinions on the controversial ‘Grindadrap’ pilot whale hunt, as well as conversations with Sea Shepherd volunteers who are overseeing the actions of the hunters on the Islands.

Ross McCall and American actress Jennifer Love Hewitt were engaged and even appeared together in an episode of Ghost Whisperer. However, in late 2008, Hewitt ended the engagement, according to People magazine’s report on 5 January 2009.
